The Sheriff’s Office has responded to an incredible number of auto break-ins in the past couple months. The vast majority of them have been in Simpsonville. 90% or more have involved people leaving their cars unlocked at night. Of those vehicles entered firearms, money, credit cards, phones and other items have been stolen. Simply locking your doors will deter some criminal from taking your stuff. Often a group of people will walk through a neighborhood and check for unlocked car doors. If they’re open, then they’ll ransack anything they can. If they’re locked, they just move right along. If you observe anything out of the ordinary please contact the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at (864) 271-5210.

Warning to our neighbors, this image was captured from a home camera in Ivy Glen at 105 Triton Ct, the home of Dale and Sharon Farrow. Their car was stolen, key fob was left in vehicle. They notified Greenville County Sheriff’s Office to report this incident. Dale and Sharon walked our neighborhood to inform our neighbors to use caution and make sure you lock your doors. We would further advise that you not leave your garage door opener in your vehicle. If you observe anything out of the ordinary please contact the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at (864) 271-5210.

IVY GLEN COMMUNITY DAY
: Ashley Morris, Ivy Glen’s Activities Chairwoman and our neighbor, Frank Zito had asked our neighbors if they were interested in a “meet your neighbors” Community Day that was held on Saturday June 15, 2019 (Please see flyer).

ATTENTION: Our Neighbor, Frank Zito stopped by each home in Ivy Glen and dropped off the Community Day Questionnaire and the latest Ivy Glen Newsletter. This effort was to determine community participation/ input for the event. It was requested that neighbors complete it and place it in either community mailbox. It was collected by Frank. ATTENTION: December 14, 2018- One of our neighbors had a Christmas Projector Light stolen off their front yard last evening. Please keep your eyes open in our community for this type of theft. There was a car seen on video pulling into our community last night at 9:05 pm, taking the light then driving to phase 2 and exiting Ivy Glen within minutes. A sort of “grab and go”! If anyone happened to see anything please let us know via our email: [email protected]
